Who We Are
Together Women supports women and girls across the North of England, with particular focus on women who are involved in, or at risk of entering, the criminal justice system.
About Us
Our approach is collaborative, strength-based and focussed on positive outcomes
Our Centres in Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield and Hull are safe, comfortable and for women only
Our trained, expert Key Workers provide gender-specific support for women and girls, helping to identify their needs and addressing them in various ways: 1:1 work, group therapy and signposting to partner specialist services which operate from our Centres.
Our Centres are safe, comfortable, women-only spaces within which Together Women staff provide needs assessment, action-planning, support and case management for women and girls, with a wide range of services and groups all under one roof.
Referrals: Together Women’s services can be accessed on a voluntary basis or as part of a court requirement and we support women to overcome barriers that can make it difficult for them to engage with services. More information
The staff team
Together Women’s staff are our greatest asset and we are proud of their excellent work. Our staff team has many different specialisms, including housing, mental health, support for Muslim and Afro-Caribbean women and peer-mentoring
We host partner organisations within our Women’s Centres, so that women and girls can access many of the services they need under one roof. Co-located services include Probation, drug and alcohol services, employment and training opportunities, Counselling and support for victim-survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
Uniquely, Together Women has a Women’s Centre in New Hall Prison, where our multi-disciplinary team has specialisms in domestic abuse, rape and sexual trauma counselling, Child Sexual Abuse and support for women who have been involved in the sex industry, as well as generic resettlement work, as part of an Integrated Through the Gate service.
